I walked around looking for something that looked nice and when i found the spot i took about 13 shots of the same spot. I did this with different spots to have more of a variety and make it easier for me to choose which ones to work with. Once in photo shop i had to drag each image one by one and re-size them to start a photo collage of a single scenery. This was kind of hard because it was the first time i had done this and they turned out not too bad. If i had the chance i would do this project again and now i would know what to look for before taking the pictures to facilitate the photoshop work.

1. Why did you choose the magazine that you did? What is it about it that you like?
I chose this magazine because it was a last minute idea and it seemed simple. What I liked was that it has "tips" on how to be successful. 2. What did you do to emulate the magazine cover style? I used the same logo as well as putting "tips" and major news stories on the cover. 3. What was the font style that you used, and color? Why? I didn't use the text tool or any of that. I copy & pasted the words from the actual magazine. 4. What was your set up? How did you create your photograph? I just used the picture for the grayscale one. 5. What specifically is a strobe light? Why and how would you use it? A strobe light is a very bright big light that brightens up the entire set in order to have a equal lit set. You use it in professional photography. 6. What specifically is a modeling light? Why and how would you use it? Modeling light is a low beam light that is continuously is on during the shoot and it helps set up and set the correct reflectors. 7. What specifically is a soft box? Why and how would you use it? A soft box is what covers the strobe and it concentrates the light in one direction at the same time keeping it very white. 8. What specifically is a reflector? Why and how would you use it? Reflectors come in various shapes and the over all use for them is to reflect and light up the opposite side of the strobe to have an even light. 9. What specifically is a grey card? Why and how would you use it? A grey card is something you hold up in a picture in order to make sure your ISO and background are matching and have a good image. 10. What specifically is a radio trigger system? Why and how would you use it? A ratio trigger system connect to the camera and it send a signal to the strobe light in order to know when to flash. This image represents a hobby or a lifestyle kind of thing. Because my family & I have horses and enjoy working with them and going to the races.
All Our Dreams Can Come True, If We Have The Courage To Pursue- WALT DISNEYI took three different pictures at the duck pond from different view points. I then opened them on photoshop and turned them black and white. I used a lot of layer mask and gradient to make sure all the images flowed through. I used the magic wand tool to replicate the arm to make it like a platform for the little nadia to be coming out of it.
1. What does mandala mean, in your own words?
Mandala means a mixture of pictures all put into one. 2. How you created the mandala- be specific, not just "I followed the instructions from Mrs. Moncure." I took a picture of something i liked then i got the circle layout and with the wand tool selected a section of it and then put it on my picture to select the part that i wanted to use. After that i brought it over and rotated and flipped it in order to make out the full circle. I then duplicated the circle image and made it smaller several times in order to create a pattern. 3. What did you like about this? What was your favorite image? My favorite image was the one that looks like fire, even though it only is part of the water fountain with water coming out of it. 4. What did you struggle with? Figuring out how to flip and rotate it was hard. 5. If you had to do it over again, what would you do differently? I would rematch the tutorial more than once. |
